April 3

Fullness… death is part of life… a tiny nail in a bigger storyline… we are blessed and we limp.

Where we stand… Our theology matters.

In the fullness of experience, as I share this image that is about complaining, the music in my ear is playing “Thank you for this day” by Karen Drucker. Irony? Nah… Fullness. Perhaps the right hand does not know what the left ear is listening to. 🙂

This image is part of a set of 7 images and I have a sense that it will be better understood in the context of the community of images. Over the next 6 days, the rest will be shared. Stay tuned.

“Mama always said dying was a part of life. I sure wish it wasn’t.” ~Forrest Gump

In Christ all things hold together. ~Colossians 1:17

“May I be the tiniest nail in the house of the universe, tiny but useful.” ~Mary Oliver, Upstream

Yesterday Bishop Mike shared the story of Jacob’s wrestling match, a struggle teaching us that “undeserved blessing may come with a limp.” Create In Me … May we have eyes to see God’s grace especially when things are looking ominous.

I love playing with words… which may come from my dad, who was the king of puns.
