Instagram holds many seasons of my creative contemplation. It continues to be a place I share fresh paint & ink, and I'd be delighted to meet you there!

Pondering labors of love and the deep joy (which includes questions in process like, “What was I thinking?!”) while painting moments/memories from my kids’ lives. Here’s one from Paul and Anna’s August 2022 honeymoon. I believe this particular pause on their bike pilgrimage through Ireland was near Glendalough. “We can live into a love that is eternal and does no harm in the here and now.” -Karen Baker-Fletcher, Sisters of Dust, Sisters of Spirit Wondering if you have another pairing of words to add to this list: It’s been a while since I’ve pulled the markers out. A journal page begun yesterday, during a conversation with dear friends, continued to accompany me in this morning’s devotion, as I learned about a radical 17th century Mexican nun, poet, playwright, philosopher and composer, Sor Juana. For her story and so much more… “We learn, change, develop and grow when we move and entangle ourselves with the world in unexpected ways, and we do so best when we are fully engaged participants in that journey…” -James Bridle, Ways of Being Florescence… the process of flowering I pulled out an old watercolor-in-waiting. While listening to an On Being conversation with Michael McCarthy, called Nature, Joy, and Human Becoming, I added the ink design. Pondering the triangle spaces in this image, both those in the Flower of Life designs and the corners of the Golden Spiral, and remembering how Guild Founder Liz used to point to the spaces between her fingers as the places where creative mystery happened. Day breaks and night falls,
