I spaced on sending today’s post out this morning and am now away from home and have to work from my phone… eek! I’m missing a few of the usual pieces, but for now, this will do…

“Centering prayer, with its emphasis not on clarity of mind but on surrender of the heart, leads straight down to the heart’s depths… It becomes a direct encounter with the Mercy.” —Cynthia Bourgeault, Mystical Hope

”Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, ‘Truly, God is in this place and I, I did not know… How awe-inspiring this place is! This is nothing less than a house of God, this is the gate of heaven!’” —Genesis 28:16-17
“Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn’t be fonder of my big home
The bees are buzzin’ in the trees
To make some honey just for me
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ants
And then maybe try a few…
The bare necessities of life will come to you.” —Phil Harris, Bruce Reitherman, The Bare Necessities
“Oh, how far I have to go to come to rest in you, in whom I’ve already arrived.” —from a prayer of Thomas Merton

“Plant seeds, dream a garden.” —Christine Sine
When I look at this image, it reminds me of Isaiah 55:11 – So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.’
Hoping you can see the mouth, too? The word ‘garden’ is coming from it.
