Remembering the morning from 2014 brings deep peace. My daughter, Ellen, and I had just had our first night of sleep in the Amazon Rainforest. We were at a place with no electricity or hot water, paths lit with oil lamps. Under mosquito netting I journaled with soft morning light, serenaded by rain on the thatched roof and unfamiliar animal salutations.
