October 18

In life, in death and in every moment-between, there is endless homecoming in love. My husband and I just found out that our nephew and his wife are expecting, and I am tickled with joy for them!

A bit of a heads up: In case things look a little different on the blog over the next three weeks, we’ll be RV’ing our way to and from family and friends in MN and WI.

“With sacred buildings burning and chaos in our social systems, we are in such dire need of vision, imagination, and love of neighbor… Narratives about POC often emphasize inherent inferiority and criminality, when the truth is that all of us embody stardust and a divine spark with cosmic origins.” —Barbara A. Holmes, Race & the Cosmos, p. 18-19

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?

A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.
