In my heart I hear Andrea singing “I Release and I Let Go.” I’m trusting this morning that this version will be carried to you by the same spirit with which Andrea sang.

2013 – the beginning of a collaborative artwork with the Sunday School children of Living Word, Katy TX

2014 – notes to introduce myself during a LEAD retreat in Houston, TX

2015 – notes from a Beloved Sisters Retreat in WI… Andrea is the first person in the middle seated row.

Light walks on water,
lifting my heart to newness.
Wholly, buoyant path.

“Although we cannot reason our way out of this quandary, we can allow the universe to reveal its secrets through us. … We can… allow the mysteries of life to permeate every cell.” —Barbara A. Holmes, Race and the Cosmos, p. 19

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?

A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.
