October 29

This day’s images weave the common thread of love through relationships, life and death, eternity.

This is a tribute of remembrance for the 11 people killed in a white supremacist terrorist mass shooting that took place on October 27, 2018, at the Tree of Life (L’Simcha) Congregation in Pittsburgh. Yesterday’s Tree of Life image was also created in their honor.

“An awakening is necessary to reconnect us to our origins and one another. Epiphanous understandings may develop as we contemplate personal and collective orientations toward the cosmos.” —Barbara A. Holmes, Race and the Cosmos, p. 45

Eurekan gifts of presence —
I am in between.

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?

A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.
