“To draw closer to the deepest desire, we are going to have to go to a place within us where there is a longing we cannot really articulate. It is at this deepest level that our own heart’s true longings meet the divine longing for us and in us.” ~Margaret Silf

Love’s web cradles us
as we trample unaware,
apart… still, a part.

“People who are conscious of their connections to the cosmos will not be deterred from full exploration of their gifts, because true liberation includes the ability to conceptualize freedom beyond social configuration.” —Barbara A. Holmes, Race and the Cosmos, p. 170-171

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?

A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.

I loved your post today! The painting on Senses reminded me of our summer(?) Gather Magazine Bible Study on our senses! Oh, so touching, the photo of you gentle, loving son! Spreading God’s eternal love! I shared the Cosmos painting with my star gazer daughter who is almost finished with her Masters in Nursing! She responded immediately “Absolutely beautiful!” Your admirer, Chris Dudley
