“Quantum theories present aspects of reality that overturn our previous assumptions. We really can’t say what reality is or how it works. To date, we can say that the quantum world exists, but its contours are elusive and potential rather than actual. With all this potential emerging, something is missing. It is the potential of the two-thirds world. Yet, even with it exclusion, dominance and victimization are only one aspect of reality, an aspect that is not insurmountable.
The possibility of mutuality still beckons us, because no person or society can fill the categories of victimizer or oppressor permanently and totally. We are creatures of potential and possibility, embodying many aspects of reality simultaneously.” —Barbara A. Holmes, Race and the Cosmos, p. 179-180

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?

A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.
