“Sacred suspension” – to hold and be held, see and be seen

Wishing you a “Larger Knowing” day.

2012 – one of my favorite photo memories of my mom in green and brother Mark second from left, niece Sylvia, nephew Ted, sister-in-law Becky, husband Jim in the ‘UM YA YA’ and kiddos Paul, David and Ellen

2013 – finger painting with both hands 🙂

2014 – It looks like there was a lot on my plate on this day as I see images from two different Advent series, a small group called ‘Following the Way’ and sermon notes.

2015 – Here are a few photos from my visit to Innsbruck during Christmas Market time. Check out the Advent Countdown in the windows of the building!

“…we will not wrest an egalitarian order from the persisting chaos with swords drawn or in fitful daydreams. Instead, we commit ourselves to ‘staying woke’ and doing the difficult work of knowing self, others, and the universe as integral parts of a cosmic order that announces its Author, our liberation, and the human potential for transcendence in every star and galaxy.” —Barbara A. Holmes, Race and the Cosmos, p. 221

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?

A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.
