February 3

With one week remaining in this seven year retrospective, there is deep love being stirred by the memories of creating art in community.

2015 – Especially for my math friends, I call this one, “be to the power of loved.”

2016 – Watch the journal page below become a mural… Community art at the Lutheran Church, Manantieles en el Desierto, in El Salvador, during the 2016 Mission of Healing.

Here’s a look at the process:

“The earth is a living thing. Mountains speak, trees sing, lakes can think, pebbles have soul, rocks have power.” —Henry Crow Dog

…and wildflowers? — perhaps they imagine.

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?

A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.
