Finding Our Rhythm – Easter

Before Fibonacci came Pingala, an ancient Indian poet and mathematician (c. 3rd-2nd century BCE.) Pingala studied poetic metres and verse in Sanskrit prosody.

I’ve barely dipped a toe into the vast ocean of wonder stirred in me when I consider pattern serving poetry, death serving life.

Romanced by rhythm

Love’s creative communion

Together we rise

Here is my Easter image in process, featuring the golden spiral and an overflowing flower of life pattern.

This is work in process, part of a collection, “Finding Our Rhythm in the Fullness of Time,” commissioned for Valparaiso University’s Institute of Liturgical Studies gathering in April 2023. More info about that event here – https://www.valpo.edu/institute-of-liturgical-studies/theme/.
