Unexpected grace

in the Hosanna shrapnel

Together a part.

In-still our oneness,

Breathe peace in, with, and through us,

Together a gain.

“We all have within us this capacity for wonder, this ability to break the bonds of ordinary awareness and sense that… we are part of something larger, eternal…” -Philip Simmons

I am reminded of the scene from “Shawshank Redemption” in which opera music is played over the PA system as Morgan Freeman’s character says this: “I tell you those voices soared, higher and farther than anybody in a grave place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away and for the briefest of moments, every last man at Shawshank felt free.“

In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.

Let the waters bring forth abundantly… ~Genesis 1:20

From Richard Rohr’s Daily Meditation: “It was good, it was good . . . it was very good.” ~Genesis 1:10-31

“What cosmic hope and direction we were offered!”

Inspired by the amazing words of Parker Palmer and the “wonky spiral” design of my new friend, Sharon, I’m still on the journey toward creating something that honors ‘Spirituality from the edges.’

Beautiful Easter sermon, Pastor Emmanuel!

Christ is risen!

“In him all things hold together.” Reflecting on Jesus holding both the hate of the mob and the fear of the woman about to be stoned to death… until the hate and fear dissolved.
