“Ain’t no party like a Holy Ghost party!”
Pr. Angela Khabeb claimed it and then brought the words to life during her Parable of the Sower sermon at the 2017 Women of the ELCA Triennial. Her joy was contagious. She wondered out loud if the sower’s name could have been Oprah, as she yelled out, “You get some seeds! You get some seeds! Everybody gets some seeds!”
It was the first time in my journaling practice that I felt the page was just not big enough. It turned out to be a 5-page sermon!

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?
A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.
