Back in 2016, on this day I had created my 1000th Instagram image. Today the count is 2,382. 🙂 Little bits of creativity add up over time!

New images will be coming with the online Crisis Contemplation, Healing the Wounded Village journaling course. It begins in less than two weeks, so there’s still a bit of time to register. If you’re interested, here’s where you can learn more – https://waytolead.org/journaling-with-vonda-drees/. I’d love to welcome you there!

Notes from Guild Master Jean Tudor’s faculty presentation yesterday have become the 1000th image I’ve created on Instagram, and I hope to just keep on keepin’ on with #1001 tomorrow. Jean asked us, “Where do ideas come from?” After some quiet reflection with the page last night, I added “perhaps eternity.”

“To consider our lives within the scope of a planetary system that is billions of years old would put our race/class/gender scuffles into perspective. To realize the rarity of blue/green life-sustaining planets in the cosmos would put ecology on the top of the priority list.” —Barbara A. Holmes, Race and the Cosmos, p. 44

“Seven Years of Wonder” is a daily look back at my creative journaling posts since 2014. I began this journey on Feb. 11, 2021, and hope to continue through Feb. 10, 2022. What am I learning about my art and faith journey thus far? What has remained constant? Where have I been changed? How is this impacting present and future art-making?

A deep bow of gratitude to you for keeping me company on this journey.
